A Woman

 A Woman in a Portrait

In a society overrun with selfies and social media photographs When granny passed away, it was a shocking realization that we lacked even one respectable portrait of her for her funeral. We only needed to accomplish one thing, but we all failed miserably.

Grandma undoubtedly detested being photographed while still alive, but this was a poor reflection on her to her family. She wasn't lacking in confidence, mind you. She had justifications. But now that those motives had caught up with us, nobody could understand it.

We needed a clear picture of only her, facing the camera. We lacked all of them. She was either with someone else, especially her, or she was looking away, to the side, or down.
